For nearly two decades, Main Street Natural Gas has played a pivotal role in helping municipal utilities secure long-term, stable, and discounted natural gas supplies. As one of the premier issuers of municipal natural gas prepayments in the U.S., the organization has completed 25 prepayment transactions totaling more than $20 billion in bond issuance.

Who We Are

Managed by the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia, these prepayments have helped 20 large municipal gas and electric agencies nationwide access affordable, reliable fuel supplies, in addition to the Gas Authority’s 85 members.

To reflect the growing electric prepayment portfolio, Main Street Natural Gas is now Main Street Energy and offers municipal electric systems the same proven benefits long enjoyed by natural gas systems.
